Sauteed Mushrooms with Herbs

This sassy mushroom side dish will complement anything from chicken to steaks and can even be served with ancient grains such as quinoa.
Time To Cook:
• Novice cook: 20 minutes
• Experienced cook: 10 minutes

Mushrooms are great because they absorb liquids well while maintaining their shape.

• 6 oz sliced white or crimini mushrooms
• 3 cloves minced garlic
• 1 tablespoon dried thyme
• 1 tablespoon dried basil
• 1 tablespoon dried parsley
• 1/4 cup white wine
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
• Fresh ground pepper and salt to taste (as needed)

• Sauté pan
• Cutting boards and knife

1) Slice your mushrooms and set aside.
2) Mince your garlic and set aside.
3) Over a medium-high heat, add the extra virgin olive oil and butter.
4) When the butter is melted, add the mushrooms and garlic and saute for 6 minutes.
5) Add the wine and sauté until it's gone.
6) Add the herbs and season with fresh ground pepper and salt.
