When taking your date out for the first time, you want to be comfortable. Without fail, someone’s stomach makes an unwelcome gurgle or the silence between sentences is deafening. The Cheesecake Factory is perfect for these dilemmas. It's always crowded, allowing you to find something or someone to look at between those awkward glances at each other. Let's be honest... there's only so many times you can look at each other smiling, while silently panicking and trying to think of something to say. The lighting is that perfect yellow glowing light that makes everyone look their best. Be careful ladies and gents... it could bring up the problem of "the two-face," as Seinfeld says. You know, that guy or girl that looks great in the restaurant or bar, but when you get them in daylight is scary... ugggg.

On to the food and drinks. I started off with a classic mojito. It had a lot of fresh mint and wasn't overly sweet. The menu offers so much, it's difficult to make a decision. I ordered the hot spinach and cheese dip, served with tortilla chips and salsa, and the Thai Lettuce Wraps. You can wrap up chicken strips, bean sprouts, coconut curry noodles or carrots in your lettuce leaves, then choose one of three dipping sauces: peanut, sweet red chili or tamarind-cashew. All three were very good and give you the opportunity to sample many different tastes in one dish.

For an entree, you can’t go wrong with the Madeira Chicken. It's a sauteed breast of chicken topped with mozzarella cheese, asparagus, mushrooms and madeira sauce accompanied by mashed potatoes. I'm never disappointed when I order this dish. The asparagus is always fresh and the madeira sauce is delicious. There are so many choices at The Cheesecake Factory, I have no doubt you or your date will have any trouble finding something you both enjoy.

Now, for the reason everyone truly waits for hours on end to get a table...the cheesecake. The list seems to go on forever starting with your classic plain to a Kahlua cocoa coffee cheesecake. It's hard to go wrong with any of the cheesecakes; they're all to die for. For those who aren’t cheesecake fans, have no fear, there are other options. Linda's Fudge Cake is a chocolate lover’s dream, with layer upon layer of chocolate cake and a rich chocolate fudge frosting. There are also other cake selections, ice cream and fruit.

Overall, The Cheesecake Factory is a great date place. Just be sure to stop at the ATM before you go. The food, drinks and desserts can be a little expensive, but let's face it guys....we women are always worth it, right?

Good luck and happy hunting boys!
