Situated on Ossington Blvd. in downtown Toronto is Foxley, a little Asian-style gem of a restaurant by owner/chef Tom Thai. It's a small place that seats 30 guests. The decor isn't anything to write home about, but the patrons are not here for the decor. They're here for the 24 or so different tapas.

Foxley is the perfect first date spot because it's not too pretentious, the food is good and it's intimate enough for some under the table, footsy romance.

The wine list is large and you can get all types of beer. Some of the dishes we sampled include the sautéed Asian greens ($6) and pork side-ribs ($8) which are smothered in a thick and sticky lemon-ginger love sauce.

My only complaint with the menu is that too many of the dishes tasted similar. However this lemon love flavor is fine, and worthy of another visit to sample more Asian tapas treats.
