Situated on the corner of St. Clair and Dufferin in Toronto is Marcello’s, a modest yet very decent Italian restaurant. A simple, cozy dining room serves up over 20 different types of gourmet pizzas, (wood burning, oven cooked) and fresh sinfully delicious pasta dishes. I had a really amazing pasta dish here. A hand twisted pasta (a cross between penne and farfalle) with a pink sauce and grilled chicken and roasted peppers. Very, very yummy! In addition to pizza and pasta, they offer a variety of tasty salads, mouth watering roasted veal chops, salmon, mussels, calamari and more.
Marcello's doesn’t take reservations, so during the weekend you might expect a wait. The food is very reasonably priced, which makes this a very sexy eatery. A great place for a good first date!
